8 days without FB

AND I SURVIVED!!!! Weeeee~~~~ To be precise, I actually manage to survive without fb and also all those techno stuffs that we Gen-Y had been insanely obsessed with. Ya know, ipad ipod androids smartphones etc?  Ohhhhh the satisfaction! Actually I did play some games on my Ipad on the plane out of boredom so does that count?  Never knew I could do it teehee. I've been wanting to try this ever since I stumbled upon an article on the internet saying that we should at least, for once, literally extract ourselves from this technologically cushioned world and just, well, live. As life should be. And not live as a slave to these gadgets. So I was thinking, why not try this during my family trip? It was ideally perfect XD So try it out people! ;) It's kinda fun hehe. Connect to the people around you instead of having your face plastered to a screen. Your fb status can wait. Your instagram can wait.

"The light of human connection-it is right at our fingertips, right in our line of vision, but so often untouched and unseen beneath the veil of distraction, beneath the hurry, beneath the technology, the to-do lists, the futile attempts at perfection. But the light is there, and it is ours for the taking when we allow our soul to merge with another."

This time my family went Jiang Nan, China. Basically you can call it 江南之旅. Throughout these 8 days we visited Hang Zhou (杭州), Su Zhou (苏州), Wu Zhen(乌镇), Wu Xi (无锡), Shanghai (上海) and Nanjing (南京). I love Hang Zhou and Shanghai the best! :D We followed a tour group from Experts Travel & Tours Sdn. Bhd ( 海外假期旅游业有限公司). And of course, once you follow a tour group, you get to stay in all the 5 star hotels and eat in 5 star restaurants. It comes with the package.  Although my mum and dad strongly disagree, I still prefer backpack travelling though. You get to plan your trip all by yourself, stay as long as possible in one location, eat out at the roadside and stay in those homey inns or cottages. Now THAT is my definition of travelling, with just the pure intention of seeing the world and understanding different culture. Well, both have their own pros and cons. It's all about how you perceive it (:

All in all,  it was indeed an eye-opener... when you connect with people from another country, cuz with them came different thinking and opinions and also their perspective and views on life itself. Been editing photos the whole yesterday so there will be lotsa photos flooding up here XD. More updates yet to come~~!
