杭州

For all you bananas reading my blog (no offence! >.<) , that title read Hang Zhou LOL.

Ok here goes.

Hangzhou was the first and also last stop during that 8 days trip (know what I'm talking? Refer to my previous post if not XD) We were told that the weather would be around 14 degree Celsius and that it would drop lower and lower continuously for the next couple of days. So we were thinking Cheh, 14, more or less like Taiwan. LEMME TELL YOU the minute we took a teeny tiny step out of the automatic sliding doors, ya know, the one separating the outside world and the airport? Blast of cold air just came rocketing pass us. Gosh I'm being so dramatic here (imagine my dramatic expression pls).

For those of you who are searching for a safe and convenient place for backpack travelling, I personally think that Hangzhou is perfect. All along the way, you can see "information booths located at strategic locations or tourist hot-spots. There's a police(I think so) inside each booth so you can just stop by and ask for guides and directions. There's also various kinds of maps at the booth, which sadly I did not get to take a look >.<  Besides, not only are there information booths, there's also lotsa bicycle stands along the way.

You can actually borrow the bikes as long as you registered for a card (I dunno how to register for one though perhaps you can google search XD). Place the card at the sensor and you can borrow a bike for 3 hours FOC. As there are lotsa bicycle stands all along the way, you don't have to worry about going back to the original stand where you first borrowed the bicycle in order to return it. You can just return it at ANY bicycle stands that you come across. Convenient eh?

That's the street. Beautiful, ain't it? Notice there's a bicycle lane? And most of the citizens there cycle everywhere. So it's perfectly safe to cycle your way around.

Hangzhou is a place known for its romance, with all sorts of legends and romantic stories circulating. The story of "Romeo and Juliet 梁山伯与祝英台" and "The Sorcerer and the White Snake白蛇传" came about from here :)

Visited the West Lake 西湖.

They say picture speaks a thousand words. But even this picture could not describe even in trillion words how how how beautiful it is. You have to be there, personally, as in, really really really BE THERE to see this. I was just "wow". God's creation is truly amazing. It was OMG so so so so so so romantic!!!! All around the lake were couples strolling together, the sight was so sweeeet. Rmb how I used to say that I will most certainly visit Eiffel Tower with my bf someday? Well, I'm changing my location. It's Hangzhou I'm going! XD

You see you see you see!! There's even a couple taking bridal photos. OMG so sweet :')

Ma family :D We took a boat ride in one of those traditional looking...err...boats.

Lotus. Lots n lots of them.

This is located inside West Lake too. It was said that the emperor used to come here to relax during olden times LOL. Oh, I forgot to mention one thing. If you were to really walk the whole of West Lake, you need almost 4 hours to finish walking >.< Imagine how enormous the lake is.

Oh oh oh did I mention how romantic West Lake is? It was Autumn when we got there. Ya know, imagine the golden leaves floating down gracefully~~scattering all along the walk path~~~with the sun almost setting~~~birds twittering~~ and the first song that pop into my head was 等你的季节 LOL! 等夏天等秋天,等下个季节~~ *wink wink* 不牵手也可以漫步风霜云雪~~~ OMG I am so obsessed with this song haha! haha! haha! haha!

Alright I shall end with this picture of my sista and her friend(yeap she came together with us). But the highlight is not them though. It's the leaves. XD
