I replace classes

From 8 to 10 even when my timetable clashes

Sessions on hold as everyone wishes

Because I’m just a school counselor.

I mark books and wrote lesson plans

 When academic teachers say I don’t understand

The burdens they were carrying until then

Because I’m just a school counselor.

I sit in front of the computer

Case reports, programmes and works that no one cares

Only to get “Oh, you’re so free” jealous stares

Because I’m just a school counselor.

A student jumped

The police came

Everyone knew who to blame

Because I’m just a school counselor
