Embers
There were days when each hour
was a war I fought to survive
There were nights full of nightmares
and I dreaded closing my eyes
There were skies that burst open
with a downpour to drown me alive
........
But the world took a spark like a match in the dark
And the fire brought me to life
The whole of September was so hectic. Sitting down just to blog was beginning to be a luxury that I could not afford. Imma do a smash up of September events teehee XD
#7.9.2014-20th Birthday
Ah Loh n Ah Teo celebrated my birthday in advanced, which was like a few months ahead (>.<!) cuz they did not know whether I would be back on my birthday + Ah Teo would be leaving for Taiwan by then, so, you get the picture. I really did not know how to react, cuz who in this wide world celebrate ppl's birthday a few months earlier? LOL!
But still, loads of thanks :') I really appreciate it ^_^
I was kinda hoping n hoping n hoping that Ah Teo would accept some offer from local universities, instead of going Taiwan. She was the first one I would call out to meet when I reached S'ban. And when things got tough in IPG, I would usually ring her up and sob through the phone like a small kid who never grew up. I depend on her too much I guess haha :P *paiseh paiseh*
But still, I could not tie her by my side forever and prevent her from going out into the world right? ^_^
And then, there's this gift from her (my favourite!) with inspiring words/quotes handwritten on the pages inside. Awww,

You know me best (; |
The pic above was a small birthday surprise from my darling friends in IPG and UUM. We had been serving together for the kid's ministry in Changlun (run by the students themselves) for 2 months every Saturday. It was very exhausting mentally n physically, no kidding @@ But still, I enjoyed every single second spent with the kids. Each one of these kids, they're special and unique in their own different ways, complete with their own quirks. By the end of it, all you had to do is to love them with all your heart. Just love them. And enjoy having them love you back (: That feeling is simply extraordinary. Matthew 19:14 Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
Hurray! I get to celebrate my birthday with ma family too *wink wink*
#School Based Experience (SBE 2)
Went back to my primary school, SJK (C) Sin Hua, Seremban for SBE. And omg omg omg omg imagine us driving to school and parking our cars in the teachers' parking lot and and and aaaand walking around having students greet you. It was so so so so so so cool. I felt like a teacher ^.< As future school counsellors, we were required to dig out information regarding the school's counselling unit and all the activities that had or will be conducted. Sadly though, like most Chinese primary schools, the school's counselling unit is in a poor state. There's only a tiny counselling room which remained lock up most of the time, with no full time counsellors. There's still a lack of awareness about the importance of counselling in most SJK (C) schools.
Despite all this, the school's appointed half time counsellor, Pn Yap Mun Nee was still trying her best to prove that counselling is of importance while maintaining the role of an academic teacher. I really salute her. Many people would ask, "What do school counsellors even do?" and statements such as "They never did much", "All they do is just counselling", "they sit in their room all day". This is a common misconception among teachers, understandably, because they do no know the scope and the many responsibilities of a counsellor. To all the teachers out there, perhaps it is time that we have a talk, as in really talk, and communicate with the school counsellors in our respective schools and find out what they really do besides counselling, instead of just assuming. Your wrong assumptions can be poisoning the other emotionally ^_^

| And here's all of us from IPG Kampus Darulaman with the school headmaster, Mr. Cheah. Very kind and nice person ^_^ |
All in all, it was a whole new experience. I FINALLY get to enter classes for class replacements teehee! I was so so so so happy! The students were all so cute and super hyper. They were all like, "谢老师" here and "谢老师" there. I told them stories after stories. Kids, they really love listening to stories. Best remedy to keep them quiet ahahaha :P
#Sunway Lagoon
We got the tickets super cheap! Buy one free one! Big thanks to Carmen :DD We bought 2 tickets ( one for RM 60) and got 2 free, including free entrance to ALL the parks. Since there's 4 of us, we only had to pay RM 30 each. Weeeee~~~~
There's 5 parks in total: Extreme Park, Amusement Park, Wildlife Park, Scream Park and Water Park. Sunway Lagoon implemented the e-money system. We had to pay our money at the "cash in" counter to top up credit for our wristband. The balance will be deducted with any purchase of food/drinks/renting floats by scanning the bar-code on the wristband.
No bags are allowed on any rides, so we had to keep our bags inside lockers. We took a small sized locker which cost RM 15, without any restriction on usage time. Meaning you can open and close it any time you want. There were a few other options too: RM 5 for a one time usage locker and RM 30 for a big sized locker without any restriction on usage time. We managed to cram in 2 bags that contained our important belongings. As for the other two bags, we bravely dump it behind an ice-cream stall, with the help of bushes and flower pots to conceal it LOL!
Behold, the scream park. I did not want to enter this, but since we paid for it, skipping this would be a waste of money....so.... -.- I kept my head down the entire time while we're inside the maze. Wouldn't want to accidentally look into the eyes of a bloodied disfigured ghost face (>.<!) So I saw nothing, and I scream at nothing. ha-ha-ha! There's this poor guy who had the unfortunate "opportunity" of standing in front of me. I clung on to his backpack so tightly that the whole thing slipped from his shoulder a couple of times. I also dragged him to the left and to the right each time I thought I saw something. His exasperation and frustration was so obvious, I could sense it vibrating through the air particles around me LOL!

Well that's the end of this excessively long post I guess. Wanted to post about shifting to guys' hostel and the Lantern Festival dance but I'm just so tired LOL. Till then :)
And you'll find there'll be mornings
when the ashes and embers are cold
But you'll fight with a passion
and you'll never stop 'cause you know
Yeah you know, it gets better
And your story is yet to be told
Every push, every shove, every war, every love
Yeah, the coals are beginning to glow

Hi :P
