Dear January
And whooossh, January 2014's over, just like that, like a falling star shooting across the sky in a millisecond. People say, give it a year and you'll see some changes. I say, give it a month. 'Cause a month is really more than enough time for changes. Changes that you did not even see it coming. Finally bid farewell to foundation and stepped into degree. At last, I'm finally studying something that I love, that I'd applied for. Counselling. Throughout this one month we'd been introduced to different theories in psychology and counselling. Say, I enjoyed each and every lesson. Again, I'm taking another one step forward towards my goal, no matter how much of a baby step it is. Back then, I have this stupid dream of changing the world and making a difference. I wanted to be like Mother Teresa. I wanted to cross oceans and borders and traverse to different countries to reach out to the unloved out there. But I'd learnt that if you really wanna change the world, the first thing that you had to do is change yourself. And start somewhere. Wanna make a difference? So God went ahead and threw me into this teaching industry-something that I'd never even dreamed of taking. I'd come to the realization that making a difference does not necessarily require of us doing big stuffs. Sometimes, the smallest things can make the biggest changes. People say a teacher influences a whole generation. So I guess I'm still hanging on to this stupid dream of mine after all. *Big grin*
And then there's this, should I say, big(?) quarrel that happened in my class. Through it all, I guess that it doesn't matter who is and isn't in the wrong. What matters most is the lesson learnt @.@ "If you judge people, you will have no time to love them". Love this quote to the maxxx! How true it is. If all we do is to spend our time classifying people into categories of wrong and right, of nice and bad, will we still love them as who they are? Is there still room for love?
Went to Penang again one week before cny. This time with my CF here. The pastor was really sweeeeet ^_^ He planned the whole schedule for us and actually drove us around everywhere even though there's exhaustion written all over his face. Couldn't thank him enough ;) We went to MADE IN PENANG interactive museum, Seminary Theology Malaysia(Penang branch), beach, Queensbay, aquarium, Penang Hill and a church 真理浸信会.

Entrance fee is RM 10 for students with student cards. All the pics inside were painted with 3D effects which was so so cool. Another reason I luv Penang, being the City of Art. Missed out on a few pics, cuz stupid me was so shy and self-conscious to pose for photos in front of a group of watching people. *slaps own head* Anyhow, below are a few of my fav pics :DD
DD and I practically went crazy over this one. Romantic, ain't it? Deng Deng was like so so so excited and kept on saying that she's definitely bringing her bf here next time for him to propose to her or something. Errr hello?~~~ Don't you think it's kinda lame to propose here? :P Anyway, as long as you're happy XDD

We're falling!!! |
This is so epic! So 3D right? |
#STM, Penang#
Went for a tour inside STM. We climbed all the way to the top to check out the library but it was closed :( So we took a few photos instead. You can actually see the ocean from here XD And here's where we entered guys' hostel for the first time in history. Thanks to DD who had this stupid fantasy of wanting to check out a guys' hostel since I dunno when =_= The guys' hostel was wayyyy further up than the library. Climbing the uneven steps took ages. It was worse than climbing 4 levels of stairs back in my hostel @@ Still, did not made it to the very top cuz we were shooed down halfway by a guy, much to our embarrassment LOL
# Da beach#
It's a private beach owned by STM. The waves were like, freaking big and scary and rough. The sand was very coarse too. I scraped my knee T^T You can even find a handful of salt simply by grabbing some sand O_O Missed out on playing together on a beach the last time we went to Langkawi, for some stupid reasons =.= So definitely not going to let this chance pass despite the condition of the beach LOL!

Just couldn't resist taking pics with a nice view ahead *wink* |
Group photo ;) |
Finally get to enter Owl Musuem!!! Weeeee~~I've been wanting to go there for ages teehee. Entrance fee is only RM 5(with student card). There have all this wood and glass owl carvings, owl paintings, owl stitches on display. The souveneir section was kinda limited though. I personally think The Owl Shop(Owl Museum's branch in Georgetown) offers more choices ^_^

They were all very friendly and outgoing and sociable :D

And that's the end of our memorable January Penang 2014 trip! Note the word "January", cuz there's definitely going to be more Penang trip!! XD Awww I seriously luv to travel :3
Okay back to yesterday. So I was happily telling my friends that I will be going back to IPDA this sunday. Only this morning when I woke up and happened to glance at the date on the right-hand bottom side of my laptop screen, I saw the date 7/2/2014. Quickly double-checked the calendar and had to come to the sinking realization that 8/2/2014 is tomorrowwwwwww, sattttturday, NOT SUNDAY. Ohhhhhh maiiiiiii gossssshhhhhh T^T My CNY is finally coming to an end.

Sisters n besties in life XD |
One of the nicest things about CNY, is that you can dress up and feel good about yourself :3 Watched 一路有你 The journey yesterday. A very nice and inspiring cny movie! There's a song called 一步距离 by Geraldine 颜慧萍 inside the movie. Loving it to bitssssss! The sweetness of CNY itself is the reminder that you're surrounded by people you love and people who loves you. The people that you're celebrating CNY with last year, might not turn up this year. You never know what's gonna happen the next day, or even what's going to happen the very next minute. *Gosh going sentimental here*. So it's with this appreciation that I wanna say this: I love you da jie. I love you seagull. I love you mum. I love you papa. :) I'm one blessed kid, indeed.
#Simple randomness#
Swallowed the 2nd and 3rd book of Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl- Beautiful Darkness and Beautiful Chaos. Loving them to the maxxx!! I went around quoting some of the sentences inside the book. It's just tooooo sweeeet :3
"What is the opposite of two? A lonely me and a lonely you."
"I loved her, atom by atom, one burning cell at a time."
"When you look up
Do you see the blue sky of what might be
Or the darkness of what will never be?
Do you see me?"
"There was no one colour that could paint Lena Duchannes. She was a red sweater and a blue sky, a gray wind and a silver sparrow, a black curl escaping from behind her ear."
"Even in the slippery blur of heat and arms and noise, Lena affected everything in her wake, a pull as powerful as the moon to the tides, or the planets to the sun. I was caught in her orbit, even as she pulled away from mine."
Am a bookworm! And proud of it!
So......What's next to face will be the oncoming piles of assignments and camps I guess @.@ Alright that's the end of this excessively long post! Tata!
There is a crack
in everything.
That's how the light
gets in.
