My first, and you bet there's more to come!
It started somewhere local, not abroad; somewhere small, but not tiny. Yeah, I went Penang!!! What with all the inn bookings, the map reading, the plannings, everything, I did it all by myself! Oh, the satisfaction!!!!! CAN YA FEEL IT? :D Growing up in a protective environment, allowing me to plan my own trip would be like asking my paranoid parents(who couldn't possibly tolerate any risk-taking)to throw themselves down twin tower =.= What's the beauty and excitement in travelling if you aren't allowed to plan trips yourself, right?
So me and another 3 buddies(my fellow backpackers! Sounds so cool ain't it?;D)went on this trip thinking that we could conquer the world LOL(when truth's that all 3 of us have no sense of direction=.=). We stayed in Guest Inn Muntri which was recommended by Jing Xuan. We booked a Queen size bed room for RM 79 per night, including free breakfast and free flow of tea anytime we want. The price was okay, but we were told that we could get it cheaper elsewhere. But still, Guest Inn Muntri was nice and homy. The inn owner, uncle Ooi was really really nice and helpful too. The coolest thing was that it had this blackboard-like counter where lots of tourist scribbled on using chalk(creative right!!)

Guest Inn Muntri feels like home ^^

After checking in, we went in search of street arts and murals, something that I'd longed to do ages ago. We started our search at 10a.m, which was much later than what we'd previously planned. So we only finished looking at all the street arts and murals around 3p.m. Imagine walking around with the scorching sun above our heads @.@ It was freaking hot(>.<!) I felt like a bbq chicken being grilled. But looking back at all pictures of the street arts and murals that we'd collected, it was a satisfaction filled to the brim! Oh, we were on foot most of the time throughout our trip. Penang has this really convenient system, where anyone can take Central Area Transit(CAT) to go around Georgetown FOC. So yeah, when we got tired of walking, we just find some nearby bus station and hop on any CAT. I'll just put in a few of my fav street arts, as for the rest, go check it on fb! :P

Ahhhh look at the designs! The wooden walls and the lightings. Kinda artistic don't ya think?
We also went to the famous blue house, Cheong Fatt Tze's Mansion( a baba nyonya house so they said @@) I did not know that there were originally babas and nyonyas in Penang too >.<!

The mansion

是不是有一种去中国旅行的feel 啊?;)
That's one really big living room O.O
An open court yard right in the centre of the mansion. It was said to be related with Feng Shui. When the rain water falls in and starts to accumulate, it means there's money and ppl could spent it. But when the water recedes, money is tight and ppl had to be thrifty.
Us with the friendly auntie who gave us a tour around the mansion. She took extra notice of us as we were the youngest in the tour group LOL >.< I guess young ppl our age wouldn't like to be stuck in an old mansion =.= Ha-ha what to do, I LOVE marvelling arts and sculptures and architectures weeee~~~

And of course, you wouldn't wanna miss out Penang's famous food hahaha *drools*
Would definitely go Penang again, and by that time, Wong Yieng Sing you better fast fast save money and get your mummy's approval ahhhh!!!!! 一定一定要有一次,是4个好姐妹的旅行 (:
