Can you hold broken pieces of glass together with tape and glue?

No, you can't.

And even if it works, it's just gonna break sooner or later.

That's how I feel now. Trying very hard to hold all this fragments of glass together with glue and tapes. Knowing that it's gonna break, again, just like before.

What's the whole point?

Why not change a whole, brand new piece of glass instead of stubbornly holding on to this old old glass with many scratched marks? After all, you're gonna prick your fingers in the process of picking these bits and pieces up. You're just gonna get hurt all over again =/
