CF Lunch 2008

This year as usual, Christian Fellowship club held a lunch in Weng Heong restaurant. All the committee members had been doing preparations for this lunch..


My friends and I were allowed to leave school at 12pm to do some preparations for this lunch on that day... Before the guest arrive, all the usheres were busy memorising the location of all the tables according to the numbers whilst the worship team were busy practicing the worship songs... I was in the worship team this year... I guess it's to take over my sister's place as she is busy studying for PMR this year... LOL...

Soon, the restaurant(only the top floor) were packed with students... I was VERY nervous and scared.....partly because I am in the worship team and we have to worship on the stage. It's not because that I'm afraid of standing on the stage...as a matter of fact, I've been in the school choir when I was in primary school and we even representated N.S to sing... It's bcoz........well....there's one particular song "Bapa Yang Kekal" and whenever I reach the chorus.....I will kinda go off-key...LOL ==" that's the main reason!!! I was scared that I will XXXXXXXXX and THAT will resutl in cracking of windows!!! * thinking too far* Worst still, Pn Choo ask me to take the mike at the very last minute!!!!

The lunch begin with a "speech" from hannah " we would like to invite Joel and his team to conduct the Praise & Worhip"..................==" Jonathan went up the stage first... The rest of us were pushing each other and saying "you go up first"....LOL... We ended up by going on the stage together..dunno how we did that as the stairway to the stage was very narrow...On the stage, Esther suggested that we pass the mike after each turn so that each person will have the chance to sing with the mike...*great news for me!!* The worship session went smoothly( some said not loud enuf)lol...

After the worship, I went to help my friends(ushers) to welcome the latecomers...hehe.... After all the job was done, my friends and I went back to our respective tables. As usual, our principle, Mr Wong gave a speech. Later, our club president-James Choong Li Meng told his testimony. Can see that he was abit nervous at first as he keeps pausing..Anyway, I really admire his courage to tell his testimony in front of such a big crowd in English( his English is not that good)... Can really see his faith in God^^. Before the lunch begin, there's a "lucky draw"... Hannah told us to turn our plates over...The first thing I saw when I turned my plate over is a sticker "SMILE!!" lol...Hannah said those who have stickers on their plates are the "winners"... Kar Yee, a friend of mine wanted the present so I let him take it...haha...

At last...we can start our lunch!!! I was already starving.....However... Me and all my friends in that particular table(08) didn't get to eat a proper lunch...the reason behind this is because.....Allan Chan keeps cracking jokes from the very beginning until the end... All of us keeps laughing and laughing and laughing until our stomach aches AND we lost our appetites...But that doesn't matter 'cause we really had a good time of fellowship kaka^^

After the lunch, I went to say 'hi" to Beatrice( a friend I met in Bangunan Pandu Puteri)...I also saw Lee Eileen(youth leader in my church-EFC)!!! I was VERY VERY happy to see her... She is going to London (for 3 years)to study...Seeing her at the annual cf lunch is just like the last time meeting her before her departure( she did held a farewell party but I didn't get to go as I was attending a Pandu Puteri camp)... She has already gone to London when I am blogging this.... I reeeeeeeeeeeeally miss her damn much *sob*(although it's only the 2nd day since she left). *Eileen jie jie, take careee ya*
